A new star for us. Our Hazelnut gelato has just won a Great Taste 3-star — the awards' highest rating, and one of only two given out this year from around 450 products tasted.

Made with 100% pure hazelnut paste from a small producer in the heart of Langhe, in Italy's Piedmont region — an area with PDO status for hazelnuts thanks to its altitude and climate.

We tasted at least twenty different hazelnut pastes before choosing this one, for the depth of flavour and the way it lingers in the mouth rather than disappearing after the first spoonful. It wasn't a quick decision.

The paste is ground to order, which means it arrives at the Lab as fresh as possible. It makes the whole place smell gorgeous for days — and wow, does it taste good.
